Moving, Movers Tenant threatens landlord

Our tenant is at the end of their lease and will be moving out. The tenant's son [not on the contract] recently has become hostile to our recent visits - proper notice was given. The hostility has been through text with the latest statement being that they know people in low and high places, followed by a demand for a letter of recommendation. At what point is the line crossed for law enforcement to get involved?

The "tenant" isn't threatening the landlord since this guy isn't on the lease.

Unless you're actually fearful for your life from these threats, I'd probably ignore the big mouth and I'd sure ignore the demand for a letter of recommendation from this boob.

If he continues with these threats, tell mommy and daddy to get their son to knock it off or you're calling in law enforcement to quiet him down.

However, frankly, since this whole family is out of there soon, I'd leave things alone; much damage can be done as a retaliation when folks are moving out and are angry at the landlord.

Be glad you'll soon be rid of this family.

After the move out make sure you change the locks ASAP.
