Teenage emancipation in VA

Does a teenage girl, in VA, become emancipated from her parents automatically upon the birth of her child? This girl is 17 now, but was 15 when her first child was born. She now has a second child. She is living with a cousin (36) and is telling us she is emancipated from her parents and has been since the birth of her first child. The cousin is not her guardian or any other legal title with court papers.

The girl is applying for a membership at our Recreation facility and we want to know if she can be the responsible party, on the membership, legally.

Thank you for your time.

In NO state does giving birth grant legal emancipation. It can grant medical emancipation - i.e. she can make her own decisions about her health care and that of her baby. But nowhere in the US does a teenager become legally emancipated because she has a child.
