Hi. I'm new here. I am seeking information to compare with what I already have. I am being sued in Texas for a credit card debt. After/If we go through all the procedures I'm sure they will win a judgement. What are the ways that they can collect the judgement? I know they can access my bank account, but for how long?

Thanks for any help.

Bank accounts can be garnished. Property leins can be placed also. If you own any property, depending in which state you reside. The property may be levied also. this would depend on how narrow the laws in which goven your state. In some cases, if a judgement is granted, your property would be immediately attached. Once that is done, there is not much you can do except pay the debt.

Thanks.
I know they cannot place a lien on my property in Texas. They cannot garnish my wages in Texas. I'm not sure how long they can tie up my bank account.
