Contact with the HOA is through email and they are not returning messages in a timely manner to put it nicely. Is there a way to cure the default and get the HOA to stop the foreclosure?

Besides paying what you owe? Plus penalties and costs for letting it get this far along. Or, purchase it at the sheriff's auction, then pay what you owe.

A bankruptcy filing won't prevent it, but it will delay it.
