Stealing from Walmart? Criminal Records, Expungement

So I was stupid and got caught taking from Walmart. It was only about $30 worth of stuff, they filled out the paperwork and stuff. A cop came but I wasn't arrested or anything. I have a court date now. I was just wondering what would normally happen? Would I go to jail? It's my first time doing anything and I have nothing on records. I plan on paying what I can and everything. But what else am I looking at here?

What you need to do is first remove store name from post. Next consult an Attorney to discuss plea options like acd or diversion as this would best benefit you in long run. Your looking at

Civil fines around $250.00 (unrelated to court fines)
Court fines less than $500.00
6 months to 1 year probation
community service
possible theft classes (cost for classes varies)
