Hi guys, I was involved in a small accident about 2 and a half years ago....which was the other driver's fault....and I quickly obtained a claim number from the other driver's insurance company. However, I never got an estimate and took the vehicle to get fixed because it was minimal damage, and did not effect the driving of the car at all. Then I went to an international school of business in Rome for a year and a half, and now that I am back, I am trying to get the claim resolved, and my car fixed. Their insurance company told me today the claim has showing up as 'closed' because it was outside of the statute of limitations. My question is, for one, is that correct? And if so, what are my options at having them fix my vehicle?
