Im 40 & a marine consultant, worked & resided in Japan & Europe for 6 years. I have applied for work in USA, several companys replied that my skills are above acceptable but im not eligible to work, without them sponsoring me. Is there other legal way I can do to get work. I want to provide my family better oppurtunities and education.

Work in the United States is no longer easy. The Visa laws are designed to protect jobs for citizens first and allow exceptions for foreigners to come to the US to work. You may have other opportunities (the lottery, for example) but you need to qualify under one of the provisions, having a special skill (that is in demand), investment (EB-5) but I don't think that one might be for you, unfortunately. You'd need to either speak to an immigration lawyer or specialist who might be able to find something you might qualify for or look yourself. If it was that simple, many people wouldn't be in the forums asking the same questions. I hope things work out for you.
