I had a quick question, since I think I fall under the 1 time crime exception, does that mean that I will get my greedcard (if all other requirements are met of course) for sure or can they reject it if they feel like it?

If they do reject it but I definitely fall under the one time exception, do I have a good case for appeal?

To refresh your memory, I got arrested and convicted in California for Solicitation of Prostitution. It was my one and only arrest. I have been in this country for over 14 years and I believe my crime had a maximum of 6 months in jail (not 1 year for a first time offence – Could you please confirm that if you know?).

Also, since I think the maximum for this misdemeanor is 6 months, opposed to the usual 1 year, does that mean that I am off the hook 100% and it wont matter whether I got convicted or not. Or was this it, in terms of it counting like any other misdemeanor.
