Slander, defamation

I am the President of a local Fraternal Order of Eagles in Ohio and recently one of the members printed an e-mail of me and this person arguing. It said things that were ment for just that person, but they felt the need to show it to everybody in the club. This seriously hurt my reputation in the club. I am a wholesale vendor of carpet and aquire sales in the form of person to person contact. I am sure this also hurt my chances of aquiring any buisness from the members. Can I do anything about this matter?

You cannot be protected from the truth. In essence you cannot sue someone for telling the truth
