Appreciate the responses, So I'm a good student, don't miss school unless it's a doctors appointment. But I was just curious, How big of an impact will my original issue with the phone 4 years ago have on this? This is two separate charges I'm pretty sure, I was only caught once I guess you could say but since they had told the officer about the previous item is it considered two charges? When I was talking to the officer he said there was nothing on my record, and that he couldn't really elaborate on what was going to happen because he was just there to write it down, because the state was not the one charging me, target was. The target employee said they do something about having a deal system that they do where as long as the funds were under the felony dollar about I can refund the items in currency and the charges would be dropped, can they actually do that? Sorry for all the questions, just a little worried. Thank you!
You need to understand that you're a minor.
The court will take no notice of you, yet you could be penalized.
You don't want to do in court what you did here.
Don't VOLUNTEER any information.
RESPOND ONLY to questions asked of you.
Allow your mother, father, or lawyer to lead your defense.
Above all else, you're a MINOR.
That means you're a LEGAL INCOMPETENT.
That won't allow you to skate, but you'll be treated differently than a adult.
Society wants to rehabilitate you.
In fact, you can't commit crimes.
A minor's offenses (in juvenile court) are behavioral offenses.
Simply put, minors can only be adjudicated, not judged.
So, relax.
All you need to do is be well groomed, good hygiene, and be extremely polite.
You'll be okay, just don't break any more of their laws.
