my gf was charged for shoplifting at costco in calgary ab,under section 334(b)it is her first offense she is very scared the total she tried to take was 296.00 what is the most likely sentence she will get for a first time offence an will it be on her permanent record an what are her options with that my gf is 24.anything info would be nice

I'm 18 years old..I'm illegal here.Friday I was in trouble because I was in the store and a changed tags of shoes,so they called the police..I have a reason because I did that..the reason is because I dont't want to stay in america but my parents want that I stay here.Everybody told to me:if you do something really bad the Emigration send you in your country.But now i supposed go to Court in May,12.
I didn't tell to anybody.Do you can tell me..If i say the reason what they do and if they can send me in jail?
