i moved out of an apartment on oct 1, of this year, we payed our rent on time until the day we moved out. we gave our 30 day notice, our security deposit was for 800 dollars. we waited the 30 days and never heard anything from the landlord, so we called. they told us that because they had to change the carpets we were not receiving any of it back. We never recieved a detailed letter stating what was wrong with the apartment, which in our state ( nh) is against the law. I want to know if we take them to court would we have a shot at winning?
