I am writing here for advice on a case I am persuing.
My safety deposit box was broken into four times by someone who overdosed and is now deceased. I went to the police office of records to get the report I made to the detective and they said I need a lawyer to get a court order to recieve a copy of it.
This happened in December of 2006. In January, 2007, I found a lawyer and gave him a retainer to take my case. As of now he still has done nothing to obtain the detective's statement I have made.
I was wondering what else I can do to move this case faster. Any responce will be appreciated.
