Eviction Notice Roommate removal

I rent a house, and basically rent the rooms out, The Lease and all bills are in my name and my name alone. In short things are not working out with a roommate, He is payed to the end of this month. I am questioning if I want to give him the option to pay for next month to give him time to find a place. Can I tell him he is out at the end of this month? There is nothing on paper between us. I am going to write contracts or roommate agreements for all and any from now on.

You will most likely have to evict him through the normal legal eviction process for the state of New Mexico.
