Sorry things didn't go your way... but all things considered, your chances were pretty slim.
Personally, I wouldn't invest any time and money on any appeal. Perhaps if I was convinced I had not been the driver and was wrongly accused it would be different... but that isn't the case.
You don't have much of a chance of getting it changed. Hopefully you can still use traffic school to keep it off your record.
