I own a 3-unit in California. The two unit building in front is occupied by my sisters & mom. I live in the house in the back. In my house, I have a roommate of almost 2 years. How much notice do I need to give her if I no longer wish to have a roommate and would like the whole house to myself? I have read a little bit about civil code 1946.1 in California where a 60-day notice is now required. However, I would like to know if this applies to roommates? We only have a verbal agreement when she moved in and and she pays me monthly on the 1st.
