I co-signed for a vehicle for my partner, less then 3 weeks later my partner left the relationship with the truck and keys.
Both our names are on the title witch I have.
The payments have been late and/or only partial payments for the last two years. I've been trying to work with my ex on rectifying this situation with no luck. I was told I have every right to have a set of keys to the truck.
I've spoken with the finace company numerous times trying to work with them.
I went to my ex house with two officers to try and get a set of keys. the officers refused to make my ex give me a set stating it is a civil matter.
I would like to know what my options are?
