Renter skipped rent

What can I do if I had a contract with a renter and he just left and broke contract?
I have his social but no current address.

If you can manage to find him, you can consider suing him (this is typically done in Small Claims Court). In some cases, he can be served at this place of employment.

Many landlords will wait until the unit is rerented and then sue the previous tenant for owed rent during the time the unit was empty, any damages above normal wear and tear not covered by any security deposit, the cost of advertising to get the unit rerented, etc..
