Consumer Law, Warranties Referencing Businesses on Website

I am about to introduce and new business website. Can I reference other websites and/or include a link to their site without their permission?

Most of the references will be in an E-Book that will be purchased. Included in the E-Book are reference sites for help with their business such as SBA, Business.gov and other business websites where they can purchase their business equipment and supplies.

I see references to other sites all the time, but I am not sure if they have gotten permission to do so and I want my site to be completely legal and without issues.

Consult with the websites you want to link to yours what is their policy regarding referencing and how you go about it when it comes to legitimizing your business with them. Hope this helps!
