I have posted in the past and received some good answers, but I need some more help. Is it possible to contest the assigning of executor of a will without having an attorney? Second, would anyone have a suggestion on getting an attorney who might take this on contingency? Third, last year after my father-in-law passed the three heirs signed a "Small Estate Affidavit," which the executor to be is having rescinded, do all three of the heirs need to be aware and agree to that or can it be rescinded without any but the executor's wishes? Also we have gone to the free legal aid in our area and been turned down for help not because of income but because this will be complicated.
