Say, for sake of argument, that the law allowed no desecration of the United States flag. (I have no idea as to whether or not that's the case, and certainly don't have the time to look it up.)
If one were to sewn the words, "The First Ammendment can go to Hell" onto the United States Flag, and then proceeded to desecrate it (as in danced upon it) on the grounds of a public library, would that individual be at fault?

You can damage your own property all you want. You might NOT be allowed to do it on the library grounds depending on whether you are damaging any property or otherwise preventing others from accessing the library.

Of course, if you live in a community like mine, you might also get your tail end whupped, and there would likely be a lot of witnesses that suddenly developed amnesia.

So ... what is your beef with the First Amendment? (Not that you have even a remote chance of axing it from the Constitution.) Without it, you would not be able to do what you intend to do.
