Hi! I have been a F1 student since '99 and my boyfriend and I are planning to get married. I am completing my Masters now and may even go on to a 2nd Masters to prolong the whole change in status. Well I know that he must show legal means of providing for me and above poverty level, have medical insurance, bankaccounts together, life insurance, rent or on property together and we have been working on all of that. However my major concern is that he was a felon and I dont know if that will impede my change in status. Please let me know of any information you can provide. I have not been in any legal trouble.
