I wanted to know that if I put a deposit down on a car and the dealer has me sign a contract that states "deposits are non-refundable", who at the dealership has the power to cross-out and sign the "deposits are non-refundable" and make my deposit refundable with no questions asked?

thank you

I suggest you NOT leave a deposit, UNLESS you are sure you wish to buy the car. I don't know, now would anyone here, know who could legally override the deposit exemption. If someone our, there would be no need to play that game. If a dealer insists on a potential buyer leaving a deposit, don't shop at that dealer. You can always leave a $1.00 deposit, if they won't take a $1.00, agin, leave!!
