I was staying overnight at a casino. At 3:00 am I was arrested by the State Police for "Public Indecency." I went with my mother. We had recently gone through some family medical issues with my sister-in-law, (breast cancer) it was a very stressful few weeks. My sister-in-law was out of the woods and we were looking to have fun and relax. We decided to go to the casino.
I ventured off by myself. I was having way too much fun. I met a man by the name of "Stan." We went to a dance club. I drank too much. I became intoxicated.
We found a private spot down a dead end hallway, beneath a dark stairwell and kissed like teenagers. The area was deserted and we didn't see any harm in stealing some kisses.
I was arrested for "Public Indecency" and expelled from the casino permanently. Any advice on how to plea? I was making out in public. And I was intoxicated. Even we were hiding in a "private" location, it was still considered "in public."
If I plead not guilty, do they try me then and there or do they continue the case at a later date?
