Some one is giving me a property as agift ,i owe child support can they put a lien on the property or take the property?

Not only can they place a lien against teh property, they will more than likely seize it, and auction it off at a sheriff's sale.

So, why take title to the property?

Let your benefactor retain title to the property and deed you a life estate.

I suggest you both consult an attorney (TOGETHER) before the transfer is effected.
