Alcohol & Drugs: MIP, MIC, Intoxication Prescription Forgery

I am a medical doctor and I used to work for another doctors' office and I am not working at that practice anymore. Almost 5 months ago the son of the pactice owner forged a prescription under my name. I got calls from harmacies at Target and Kroger. They have recorded the forgery and called me. They asked me if I wanted to call the police. I didn't ask them to call the COPs as I was not totally aware about the situation. I documented the incidence in the electronic medical record of the office. I have the copy of the forged prescription and the medical record. Now my question is that should I report the incidence to the Dallas police or DEA or DPS (Department of public safety) Texas now after few months. I want to be safe and honest with authorities and would like the legal opinion as to how to report it now.

Call the police and report the crime. They will get the proper authorities on the job.
