So, about a week ago...my wife is shuttling the kids around...when she is approached by a man who says she hit his car in a parking lot she had been in 30 minutes earlier. he showed her a scratch or bump or something on his car. she claimed she did not, (which I believe). There is pre existing damage on our car so hard to use that as evidence. so they exchanged phone numbers. He called with a $700 repair estimate. He wants to meet to review. I am feeling the potential of a scam.
my thinking is to tell him i want to go through my insurance company and we need a police report. Anything else I should be thinking about?
