Almost a year ago i guess i was given a citation for "possesion of a malt beverage by minor not 19/20" . I was 16 or 17 at the time, it was near my birthday so I'm not sure.
Anyway, I got deferred prosecution, involving fines and 24hrs community service. I was told that meant a dismissal would occur.
What I'm wondering, because my lawyer wasnt much help, is what my criminal record will show considering im a minor and was never "convicted". My lawyer did tell me about expungement of the charges which he didnt explain too well.
Basically, how can i get a clean record again and what exactly is deferred prosecution, this is killing me inside considering its basically the only time ive broken the law (and with my luck/stupidity i got caught). I just feel worthless every time i think about this!
