the numbers on my charge are 720ilcs 5/16-3a I live in Illinois I'm a legal permanent resident
this was my first charge/arrest
I made a stupid mistake and took some articles worth $225 I was charged with a misdemeanor I'm going to court soon my lawyer says that he hopes nobody will show up and I will just get dismissed but if somebody does since they have proof I will be found guilty but my lawyer say's the worst i face will be no more than supervision
I signed something in the store admitting that I took those things
now I qualify for citizenship because I have 5 years here
Can I still apply for citizenship if I'm found guilty and get supervision ???
