Criminal Law Petty Theft

I had a girlfriend that I found was cheating on me. I broke up with her but took some cards from her Rolodex with guys names and numbers on them. I gave them back to her and just dropped it. She calls me tells me that she is missing a phone booklet from her organizer and blaming me for it. Tells me that she called the police and they said my fingerprints are on it but I've been to her place for 2 months and visiting and of course touched it to move it out of the way etc. She says she's going to press charges because she's missing her phone numbers? She also lives in Orlando and I live in Ft. Lauderdale so it was a long distance relationship and she was seeing others up there. I know this sounds stupid and there really isn't a case here is there?

I don't think anyone can tell you except her local police. I wonder whether she even got the police involved in the first place or whether she is just telling you a story to get you scared.
