I was given a ticket for shoplifting, total of $204 in merchandise. This is my first offense ever. I paid the company the $204 after being caught and was given a ticket and still waiting to call if I am to set a court date or not. If I plead guilty and am willing to pay the ticket whatever other consequences will I have to face?

You should admit to nothing. Plead not guilty, and hire a lawyer, or ask the court to appoint a lawyer to assist you. Then speak only to your lawyer.

Did the store/company say what the $204.00 was? Normally I would say Civil Demand but the value of what you took equals money you paid, tha tis not normal If you have actually now paid for merchandise there may be no case to file
