Hi there,

My question is whether or not the primary personal representative of an estate has the power to appoint a co-personal representative, who just happens to be the successor personal representative of the estate.

The successor personal representative happens to be the decedent's family attorney, and the daughter of the decedent who is the primary personal representative would like additional assistance in performing her duties.

**I do know that the PR has the power to appoint an attorney, however this is not the avenue we would like to take. Instead, I am specifically concerned with whether the primary personal representative (i.e. the decedent's daughter) can appoint a CO-personal representative.

Thank you so much in advance for any advice you can supply me with...
