how many months a year does a person with a permanent green card have to live in USA. My mother in law lives in Bulgaria where she maintains her home,collects her pension,etc..etc...comes over to US and stays with us for 3 or 4 months then goes back. what residency requirements must be meet here to maintain the green card...my wife tells people that her address is with us,,,ask me and I say she is a guest who overstays her welcome..dam , she can't even speak English ??
