I was in a lease with 3 other people. Renting a house from the owner. I moved out in July or so even though the lease was active until September. I continued to pay monthly rent till the lease was up. But my old roommates are telling me I need to pay for electric, cable and water. Am I required by law to pay these bills even though I was never there, never used the electricity, water or cable. The landlord took over 6 months to return the deposit and now that the deposit has been given back the person who received it is taking those utilities from my share. If I went to small claims would I have a chance?

Forgot to mention that he has no bills to provide. Just his word on how much each was.
