If a US citizen, specifically an employed adult male, is the father of a child by a foreign national who lives outside of the US, can he get custody rights to the child?
More specifically if you live out of the country, and your Filipino girlfriend gets pregnant and gives birth, can you take custody of the child and bring it back to the US without the mother? Would it be an incredibly difficult situation?
Its not an issue now, but it was a scare a few months back, so it got me curious.
