My jurisdiction is: Indiana
I recently was married in Colorado (I am not a resident), and our marriage was solemized by each other--this is called "parties to the marriage". It was a heterosexual marriage. I was wondering--since my county clerk's office does not know--if our marriage is recognized as a legal marriage in my resident state, Indiana. "Parties to the marriage" is not an option to use to solemize a marriage in Indiana. You must have an officiant solemize your marriage in Indiana. We are legally married in Colorado, i.e. we have a marriage certificate. Are we also legally married in Indiana?
