My jurisdiction is: NY
Parole guidelines change periodically. Each sections rules my be updated any time. My question is if your already on parole and the guidelines change say 5 months later, can they legally impose the new conditions? Example: say someone with DWI is restricted from driving for the first 6 months but can after they have completed the 6 months of successful parole. Then in the meantime new policy is put into place by parole that the minimum is now 2 years before they can drive. Can this be enforced legally to someone who was under a prior policy?
