"Paid in Full" on memo of check, but not full payment.

I am having a dispute over payment for my services rendered. I was sent a check for about two thirds of the total amount due. In the memo area they wrote "paid in full". If I cash this check, is this an acknowledgement on my behalf that the account is paid in full, or can I cash it, and still bill for the remaining balance?

Depends on the precedent in your state. Have you called to find out the problem? Safest way is to return the check and request payment in full.
