Greetings all:
I was driving home a few days ago on a long, straight, downhill road near my house. The speed limit is posted 45 (which is ridiculous), and I was clocked at 88 by a cop on the side of the road. I think 88 may be a little inaccurate, although I know I was speeding (he had timed me between two white lines).
I'm a minor and do not have any criminal record at all, no other speeding tickets, etc. ... just caught a bad break.
Can anyone offer me any suggestions? Is it possible that my speed will be lowered in court? I am planning on pleading guilty but going for a plea bargain or some sort ... I do not want to lie in court. And will my insurance rates go up?
Thanks in advance!
John
