Hi there, my mom passed away last year, and I am the beneficiary to my mom's house. It's not paid off yet. My dad and I are making payments on it still, but when I call the mortgage company to change the name they say they need the deed. But it's not paid off yet ??? Can the mortgage company or government take the house from me? What do I need to do to get the name changed on the house?
