So I was like half a mile from work (city driving) and it's raining here in philly today. for one of those reasons that nobody can explain the traffic in front of me slows down right in front of a light and then takes off again. i'm approaching the intersection and the light is turning orange. i go through as the light turns red. well there is a cop there and she pulls me over and gives me a ticket for running the light. the amount on the ticket says $116.50 and that i have to appear in court at the end of august.

my question is, my driver's license is in NJ, and the ticket happened in philly, will the points transfer to NJ? i remember getting a speeding ticket in RI when i was in college and i don't think the points transferred or my insurance pmts changed.

is it possible to just pay the fine and be done with it or do i have to/do you recommend showing up for court?

thanks for your help.
