Consumer Fraud Out of money, stop working on my car!

How can I stop my fabricater from working on my car? I can't pay the bill, but he keeps working on it. When I go to get the car the bill gets bigger and bigger. This is my dream car, not a daily driver. Things are tough right now.

Did you sign a contract authorizing that the car be built, and that you would pay a certain amount?

If not, what kind of paperwork or oral agreements are involved?

You need to notify the fabricator in writing by certified return receipt US Mail to cease construction of your car at whatever stage they are in because you can not pay for it. Then you need to work out a deal to pay in installments what you already owe. It's tough all over. Hope everything works out for you.

You can make a copy of the notification and send the copy to yourself via certified mail just in case this goes to court. Good luck.
