Online Gambling, Banks and the Law

My jurisdiction is: USA

If the bank has allowed me to deposit over 8,000.00 onto illegal online poker websites do I have the right to recover those funds? The US port act and UIGEA make me feel that I should be refunded for the funds illegally deposited through my BANK to online poker websites! It was illegal for the bank to allow my funds to transfer to online poker in the first place, so am I able to get refunded for those deposits made illegally? I have heard of the bank refunding peoples deposits for online gambling after being confronted that they were illegal gambling. Help.

Try what you want but my guess is that you'll never get the money back from your bank. What's your argument with them? You gambled, lost, and they transferred the money to the site that eventually was determined to be illegal. My guess would be that you should be suing the party with the funds - the illegal online casino. Does this not make sense?
