officer forgot to tell me to sign ticket... any way out?

i received a ticket for failure to signal but the officer forgot to tell me to sign the ticket. is there any way i can use this to my advantage and possibly get out of this ticket?

I'm not sure that it is a necessity as long as the ticket is properly filled out since the point is the identification of the exact infraction.
