okay, along with past due utilities, i had to include some nsf checks in my filing of ch 7. I'm still getting calls and when i spoke to one of them, they told me that the only thing on nsf's that can be included are any fees they charge and not the face value. Is this true?

Since I am doing this pro se, who can I complain to about still be contacted?
Thanks.

TheLawProfessor wrote the following elsewhere here... searching is good!

My understanding is that NSF checks are an example of a debt that is potentially non-dischargeable. The creditor must object to the discharge of the debt within a specified period of time or else the debt will be discharged. Other examples of non-dischargeable debt include significant credit card usage just prior to bankruptcy filing, debts incurred by fraud and damages resulting from acts that are willful and malicious.
