Hi All,
4 months ago I received a lawn mower intended for a previous owner of my house. I contacted the post office and they would not take it back. It is sitting in my garage and taking up space. Can I sell it or donate it, use it or sell it to someone? What should be the right course of action?

It came directly from the company. The senders name, address does not appear on the package. I guess the sender must have ordered it online.

Have you contacted the company to see if they can identify the seller?

This seems to be found property, and the rules can vary by state. Often, after 6 months, the thing becomes the property of the finder. You might have to pay some portion of its value to the state. Try looking up "finder's rights" in your state laws.
