Not dealing with court just sepaerating and paying child support

Married and decided to get separated, I'll be paying child support (20%) of my check and extra for daycare. We are splitting pretty much everything but should we get it in writing for future issues in case we get officially divorced ?

Yes, get it in writing. Consult an attorney to make sure it's done properly.

Otherwise you risk having to pay it all over again and more.

Meantime, make sure you pay her by check and write child support on the check and keep photocopies of all the checks forever. That way you won't have to pay fees to your bank for copies if you need them.
