Hi,
I am Swedish and was forced to cancel my student visit to NYC, due do a virus.
The hostel says there is no refund, if one doesn't cancel before 30days prior to arrival. On their home page it says reservations can be cancel up until 24hr prior to arrival.
The reservation - and payment - was made by the group organising the trip, and the contract says deposit (as in payment) is non-refundable.
In Swedish and Danish law - no matter what the contract says - proven medical conditions is always refundable, due to consumer laws protecting consumer rights.
Can they rightfully keep my money? Can I possibly demand a new reservation instead of refund?
Hope someone can help!
