I'm visiting from UK and my wife has suffered a stroke and the bill so far is in excess of 25000. I don't have that kind of money, can they take my house in the UK, I have no property here in the USA. We are both on government pensions in the UK.

Your National Health Service may provide coverage for you while outside the UK.

Call a lawyer back in the UK. Don't rely on strangers on the internet.

While it is possible that the medical provider(s) who have treated your wife will sue her in the UK, I suspect it is unlikely. How judgments are enforced in the UK is something you should address with a UK attorney or on a UK forum.
