NC Prayer For Judgment

I recently received a speeding ticket in Orange County, North Carolina for going 40 in a 25 mph zone. It is the first ticket I have gotten since I started driving 5 years ago (I was pulled over once when I was 17 but I didn't get a ticket). I would like to ask for a Prayer for Judgment, but I am unsure of the steps I need to take in order to get it.

Could someone please tell me how to go about obtaining a PFJ? Do I just show up on my court date? Do I need to call someone or go somewhere ahead of time? I don't particularly want to pay a lawyer to do something that I could do for myself. Thanks a lot in advance for your help

Hi. I was speeding 75 in a 55 almost 3 years ago. I was pregnant and late for work. I hired a lawyer & paid a total of $275. He went to court on my behalf.
If you do not want to pay a lawyer, you can show up on your court date & speak to the judge personally.
